Kristin Kalos, Speech Language PathologistKristin earned her degree as a speech–language pathologist from Hofstra University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA and is certified as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities. Kristin began her career as a speech–language pathologist devoted to working with children with Pervasive Developmental Disorder / Autistic Spectrum Disorder at a center-based day treatment center, where she is well regarded for her work in both clinical and supervisory capacities. Kristin is currently working with young children with communication disorders in a variety of clinical settings including private practice and a center-based facility.

Kristin’s experience includes providing speech language therapy to children with a wide range of disorders including developmental delay, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, neuromuscular and Sensory Integration Disorder, velopharyngeal dysfunction, feeding and swallowing disorders and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. She is using PROMPT® therapy successfully to develop and build functional communication skills in children, and she integrates her work with parents and related professionals to provide maximal opportunities for practice and generalization of newly learned skills.
